To whom it may concern:
This letter is a personal reference for Coach Doug Earl. Over the last 3 years my daughter has attended hitting and catching lessons with Coach Doug weekly and has developed into a power hitter and a wall behind the plate. He has helped her learn the skills she needs to attack the ball at the plate and put it in play in different situations. He has shown her how to receive different pitches to get the call and keep it from getting away from her.
What sets Coach Doug apart from other coaches giving lessons is the way he explains the reason why he is teaching the skill the way he is. His ability to communicate this with his players not only helps them build the skills but understand the game and see the next play could be.
Coach Doug goes above and beyond with his players, always sending them resources and motivational posts on social media and attending games when he is able. His passion for the game and seeing his players succeed is easily noticeable. I give Coach Doug my highest recommendation.

To whom it may concern,
Writing this reference letter is very easy for me. Coach Doug Earl has been a constant in our son Eli's life since November of 2020. After it was announced that Coach Earl would be the head coach for our 14U travel baseball team, learning of his background in junior college baseball and most importantly in the art of catching, the decision to begin workouts with Coach Earl was an easy one. The opportunity to begin lessons with Coach proved to be a very beneficial one for our son who has always been considered by many as a pretty good catcher. What we did not know was that our one on one lessons with Coach since last November would prove to be an absolute game changer for Eli. Coach Earls knowledge of catching and hitting is unmatched as he breaks down concept and form and gives instruction in an easily understood manner both for the player and parent. The techniques delivered by Coach in both receiving and the one knee down stance allowed for consistent improvements and honing of craft during both preseason and regular season. Coach Earl's instruction matched with his upbeat attitude and his immense knowledge of the game allowed for our son to be one of the most effective catchers in the area.
Bottom line: If you give Coach Doug Earl the opportunity to work with your son or daughter....you will not be disappointed. The best reference that I can give Coach Doug Earl is that if you do not want him....we will gladly keep him.

To Whom it May Concern:
I would like to take a moment and recommend Doug Earl for future coaching opportunities that you may have come open. I met Doug in the summer of 2017 when we coached a travel baseball team together in Central Illinois. Doug’s knowledge and passion for the game was so impressive, I offered him a coaching role on my staff at Parkland College working primarily with the catchers, but also to assist me with the hitting development. Doug was instantly well accepted and appreciated by our college players. His personality and passion for the kids and the game of baseball is truly unmatched. Coach Earl’s presence at practice and at games was instrumental in our 2018 National Runner Up Finish at Parkland College.
After the 2018 season, I moved on to another coaching opportunity, but the coach that followed me kept Doug on staff for the last 3 seasons and I have watched from afar Doug grow as a coach and as an advocate for player development. He has constantly bettered himself through knowledge and research of the new philosophies attributed to skill development in both baseball and softball. I do lessons with and beside Doug regularly and his ability to communicate his message is truly amazing.
I truly feel that Doug Earl would be a tremendous and valuable asset in the game of baseball anywhere and truly at any level. The program, the players, and the families would all be lucky to have him.
